Zheng Xiangxiang: The Million Dollar a Day Livestreamer

You’ve most likely seen her very unusual (at least to Americans) way of running her very own “QVC.”

For those who are unfamiliar, QVC is a home shopping network where people present products for sale on TV which you can buy while “shopping at home.”

For Zheng Xiangxiang, she is speeding through and seeing more and more success with this quirky yet highly effective form of social shopping.

You read that right, according to multiple sources, she took in $13.7M in USD in just one week from her escapades.

What does Zheng Xiangxiang do on her livestreams?

She has the famous “3 second” product presentation, she shows it, says the name and price, then on to the next in an assembly line fashion.

It’s giving us I Love Lucy working in the chocolate factory vibes.

Back to the story.

So we were quite curious about this woman and what her story truly is.

Humble Beginnings

Many may think she struck gold the moment she stepped into social selling but they would be wrong.

According to min.news Zheng Xiangxiang started live shopping streaming in 2017 where she focused on selling women’s clothing through “factory clearance” live streams, but her early efforts did not gain significant traction.

However, in 2023 she stumbled upon her signature 3-second product presentation wearing the symbolic black halter dress. In addition, every product is inside a Hermes styled box. This was the cherry on top as she took in an astounding $13.7M in sales according to numerous outlets. It all happened in October 2023 where she sold 10M products through her livestream on Douyin (China’s version of TikTok).
